Hi I’m Grant Noyes
I was born and raised in Tyler, Texas, a medium-sized town in the heart of East Texas. For 21 years, it was all I had known—the place I called home on this rock we call Earth.
Like most kids fresh out of high school, I was unsure of what my future held.
But following the crowd seemed like the natural choice, so I headed north to Oklahoma State University and declared a major in sports media.
Why sports media? Because, like so many others, I loved sports. It seemed like a safe bet—a title with “sports” slapped on it, tied to a career path I thought I could enjoy. But deep down, I didn’t feel a real connection to the decision. I wasn’t driven.
My spring semester of my sophomore year in 2023, life began to feel monotonous. Every day felt like a repeat of the last. Wake up. Go to class. Study. Repeat. All to eventually get a job where I would have to put in even more hours and just be a part of a bigger machine.
It was as if I was living the same day over and over, and I started to believe that this repetitive cycle might just be the blueprint for the rest of my life.
I felt stuck. Stagnant. Like there was no way out of the endless loop.
That summer, I went home for break. I didn’t know it at the time, but those months would change my life forever.
I reconnected with an old friend from my hometown.
To my surprise, he wasn’t the same person I remembered.
He had moved out of his parents’ house, was financially independent, quit his full-time job as a financial advisor apprentice, and graduated college a year early—all by the time he was 20.
I was stunned. This was someone who, like me, had been just as unsure about the future in high school. How did he turn things around so quickly?
As we talked, I learned that he had been making money through affiliate marketing and investing in stocks.
To me, these concepts sounded completely foreign—almost too good to be true.
But as he explained his journey, I realized something important, he wasn’t any different from me. He just chose to chase something he was passionate about
That conversation lit a fire in me. I realized I didn’t have to stay trapped in a stagnant lifestyle.
I didn’t have to settle for a life dictated by a system that teaches us to abandon our childhood dreams for something “practical.”
We live in a world where anything is possible. Influencers, streamers, creators—these people have shown us that you can make a living doing what you love.
The key is finding your passion and chasing it with everything you’ve got.
That summer marked the beginning of my self-improvement journey.
I set goals for the person I wanted to become and laid out a plan to get there.
I dropped the bad habits that were holding me back and changed the way I viewed life.
Over the next year and a half, I discovered what I’m truly passionate about, connecting with people, communicating, and helping others chase their dreams.
I realized that even if I couldn’t walk their journey for them, I could offer tips, encouragement, and inspiration to help them get started.
All of this led to the creation of Stagnant—a platform dedicated to helping others break free from the cycles that hold them back.
Its mission is simple, to inspire people to invest in themselves and never give up on their dreams.
Because here’s the truth, you don’t have to settle.
You don’t have to give up on what you love. You just have to start and that’s where I come in.
